State Representative Lynn Holland Copeland
District 130

Rep. Lynn Holland Copeland is serving her third term and looking forward to her fourth term representing Saco in the Maine House of Representatives.

Copeland was working by day in a law firm and as a Representative in the Maine House simultaneously but has now retired which allows her full-time focus to be in the State House. Rep. Copeland stepped down from serving her second term as the Saco City Councilor for Ward 4 to serve in the Maine House District 130, Saco (part).

In her role as Councilor, Copeland served as council liaison to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the Saco Conservation Commission, where she served as the chairperson. She was also active in Saco's Shoreline Commission, Coastal Waters Commission, and Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.

She has a lifetime of experience caring for people and working in community service. Growing up, she helped in the family’s manufacturing business which made precision custom grinding tools for the aerospace industry, then worked as a raw material buyer for other manufacturers. Copeland was a small business owner of a heating and air conditioning mom-and-pop shop.

Copeland lives in her home built in 1762 in Saco with her cat Clover.  She drives a hybrid, had a solar hot water system installed on the roof of her prior house in Portland, and here in Saco she gets her electricity through solar farms, a renewable resource.

She has a grown son and daughter, and two granddaughters, who bring her immeasurable joy.

She would like to remind residents of House District 130 in Saco that constituent services provided by her office include congratulatory letters, Legislative Sentiments, flags flown over the Capitol, and would be proud to have our youth come to the state house to be pages of the day in the Maine House of Representatives. Rep. Copeland offers assistance navigating state departments and welcomes general comments and questions about legislative matters. Feel free to reach out to her by emailing [email protected].
